ABSTRACT

The Criminal Procedural Code's Chapter VI, a crucial framework guiding the procedure to compel someone to attend in criminal investigations and hearings, is thoroughly analysed in this research study. With its wide-ranging ramifications, Chapter VI is essential to ensuring the impartiality and effectiveness of the criminal justice system.

A crucial and complex component of the country's criminal justice system is the procedure to compel the appearance of persons under the Criminal Procedural Code. This study looks deeply into the intricate procedural rules, historical development, and modern uses of this legal system. By concentrating primarily on the procedural component, it clarifies the complex processes and difficulties involved in ordering people to appear before the courts and authorities. The thorough examination of the procedural safeguards built into the procedure is a key part of this study. It analyses how warrants, summonses, and the usage of bail are issued and used. It also examines the crucial part magistrates play in directing proceedings, guaranteeing due process, and preserving the ideals of justice.

In the end, this study emphasises the Indian Criminal Procedural Code's process for compelled attendance. It aims to give a thorough grasp of the legal frameworks, procedural quirks, and modern problems that influence this significant facet of the Indian criminal justice system.
