ABSTRACT

The socio-economic rights are a crucial part of the agenda for women's human rights. Her steady academic advancement and the significant change in the way women's rights are now acknowledged have contributed to her capacity to create her own identity and stand up for her rights against all sorts of discrimination. The feminist movement questioned a number of discriminatory practices against women. Nevertheless, a revolution was necessary in order to make gender-based status discrimination illegal. The revolution was sparked by the feminist movement as well. The need to combat prejudice based on status was acknowledged by feminist literature, which had a big impact on these movements. Feminist theory, which includes expansive ideas and theories across several domains about the reasons behind economic injustice, social construction of sex and gender, and causes of inequality, emerged from these feminist movements. Feminist activists have battled for women's rights in contracts, property, and voting in addition to supporting women's rights from a human rights perspective. They have voiced their opposition to domestic abuse, harassment, and sexual assault. In terms of economics, they have backed worker rights like equal compensation and opportunities for career advancement and business ownership. Legal frameworks at the national and international levels have made it feasible to acknowledge women's rights and to include grace. Women are increasingly more common in both the formal and informal job sectors as a result. However, her struggle for existence had only just begun; her effort to have her rights respected continued after this. This paper explores the intricate relationship between economic equality and the dignity of women in contemporary society. In this exploration, we delve into the multifaceted dimensions of economic empowerment, examining how it intersects with women's rights, opportunities, and societal perceptions. From equal pay to access to resources, from entrepreneurship to workforce participation, we navigate through the landscape of economic equality, highlighting its profound implications for women's dignity and societal progress. In this context, our research paper delves into the nuanced dimensions of economic equality, specifically focusing on the assessment of women's economic empowerment.
