Untouchability Under Article 17 Of The Constitution: An Analysis

ABSTRACT


In the Indian constitution untouchability is abolished under article 17. To end the caste system, practising of untouchability, discrimination, and other kinds of practices that is prevalent in our society from ancient times, that’s why this article 17 was given space in the Indian Constitution and this article is absolute article of all the rights articles written in the Indian constitution , Untouchability is illegal to practice if it is practising in any form, it is the discrimination on the basis of caste and the nature of jobs done by them.


The main aim of this paper is to provide a advice on the abolition of untouchability (Article-17).
