ABSTRACT

All human beings regardless of their caste, gender, race, color, virtue, language and nationality are born free and are equal in terms of their dignity and rights as stated in Article 1 of Union Declaration of Human Rights. Human rights are rights that are bestowed upon us since birth and are not granted by any state. They regulate how individuals live in society and with each other, their connection with the state, and the obligations that the state has towards its citizens. These are universal, inalienable, non-discriminatory and form the cornerstone of international human rights law. Consequently, Human rights act as a significant link between all individuals and are embedded in the virtue of human dignity which focuses on their importance in fostering equality and justice.

Gender justice is an indispensable human right which is both about law and practice. Gender justice promotes full equality and equity among women, men, LGBTQIA+ and non-binary people in all aspects of their lives. It is a comprehensive approach that deals with the cause of gender discrimination and makes sure that women and other gender minorities do not suffer the injustices of exclusion from basic human rights. Nevertheless, Gender inequality is like malignant tumor which still persists in the society. This establishes the unwavering fact that there can be no gender justice without equal rights and hence, instituting the need for the promotion, protection and recognition of gender justice.

Human trafficking constitutes one of the gravest assaults on human rights and gender justice involving the recruitment, transport, and exploitation of people by force, fraud, or coercion for labor or commercial sex. It is a global crime that flourishes in every region and makes escape all but impossible.
