Aakansh Vijay & Atharv Dwivedi, B.A. LL. B. (Hons.), National Law University, Jodhpur

ABSTRACT

The research paper delves into the intricate dynamics of center-state relations in India during the period of crisis, with a specific focus on constitutional provisions such as Article 356, Article 355, Article 352, Article 360, and miscellaneous provisions like Article 249 and Article252. Through a critical examination of historical context, legislative evolution, and practical implications, the paper identifies pressing issues and advocates for urgent legislative reforms to address inherent flaws in the existing framework. By advocating for meaningful legislative reforms, the paper seeks to uphold federal principles, democratic values, and state autonomy, contributing to a more robust and inclusive framework for cooperative federalism in India.
