Shashank Singh & Akanksha Singh, ICFAI University, Dehradun

ABSTRACT

The entire issue which started in Karnataka can be divided into two question. First, whether the hijab is right or wrong. And the second, the girls who wear a hijab, should they be stopped from going to educational institutes? It’s very important to see the 2 question distinctly, because people often mix them up leading to confusion, and we can’t reach a solution. ? It is a very important question that needs to be taken in consideration. If the government actually wants to increase social integration and unity in the country, so that everyone can live together peacefully and happily, that there is unity in the country, that there is freedom of choice and women empowerment. The government should take immediate decisions then. To draw the lines and make the rules. About what is allowed and what isn't. But the problem arises when some organisations try their best to incite the students. To get them to fight over religion.
