Understanding Cybersquatting And Domain Name Issues And An Overview Of INDRP

ABSTRACT

This paper discusses the concept of ‘cybersquatting’ and what is ‘domain name.’ This paper highlights how the domain name differs from the trademark. This paper analyses the question that whether we can treat a domain name as a trademark or can we consider a domain name equivalent to the trademark. This paper also explains Cybersquatting and its position in India, and an overview of INDRP (.In Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy). The paper also discusses the case laws of domain name disputes.
