ABSTRACT


This paper sheds light on the pressing issue of the conflict between ukraine and russia, which has not only impacted these two countries but has left a far-reaching effect on the entire world. The main problem statement identified hereby is the role of global citizenship education in addressing the challenges of the russia-ukraine conflict’ emphasis has been placed on the connection between global and local citizenship by analysing the case study of ukraine. The notion of global citizenship has been taken into consideration while ideologies and thinking of various authors and philosophers such as jeremy waldron, james s, gaudelli, andrew manson, liz jackson and henry a. Giroux have been appreciated throughout the paper.
