The Serious Nature Of White-Collar Crimes

ABSTRACT


This research paper aims to highlight the seriousness of white-collar crimes because these crimes are not much recognized in our country due to lack of awareness among the masses, people are not much aware about the severity of white-collar crimes. The article is going to discuss about the severity of white-collar crimes; this research also depicts how our nation has become a hub with a great number of financial scams, how monetary frauds are deteriorating the economy of our nation. It also depicts the recent legal developments, types of white-collar crimes, their severity and a report prepared by the Santhanam committee. The research also enlightens the enforcement of various provisions and their enactments which provides protection against these crimes. Strongly sticking to the detrimental condition of the white-collar crimes in the light of state of affairs, my main objective is to prove that why we should take white-collar crimes as lethal crimes.
