The Role Of Laws In Addressing Climate Change: Environmental Regulation And Policy

ABSTRACT

Climate change is an urgent global challenge that requires effective and comprehensive action. Laws and regulations play a crucial role in addressing climate change through environmental regulation and policy. This article examines the role of laws in combating climate change, focusing on the implementation of environmental regulations and policies aimed at mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable practices.

The article also highlights the importance of setting emission reduction targets as a key aspect of environmental regulation. Furthermore, the article discusses the broader impact of environmental regulations in various sectors contributing to climate change. Laws can promote sustainable land use planning, discourage deforestation, and encourage waste management practices that reduce emissions. International cooperation is facilitated through laws that align with international agreements such as the Paris Agreement, fostering collaboration and resource sharing among nations.
