ABSTRACT

This research paper provides critical insights with a very exhaustive analysis of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) dealing with the issues of Non- Performing Assets (NPAs) in the banking sector of India. In the very beginning of this paper, it deals with the detailed critique of banks and how Non- Performing Assets (NPAs) are affecting the financial condition of the banks. This paper also includes the regulatory mechanism that has been used by the Indian government to control Non-Performing Assets (NPAs).

With a very comprehensive study, this paper further provides the insights into the establishment of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) that narrowed down the other previous acts and showed its efficiency in dealing with Non- Performing Assets (NPAs) and created an effective legal framework in India.

Furthermore, the paper describes the pillars of the insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), along with the impact on Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and some landmark cases describing the percentage of claims recovered by the banks with the help of the insolvency and. Bankruptcy Code (IBC)

This document highlights the profound impact of the IBC in addressing NPAs and establishing a robust system for effective debt recovery and insolvency resolution within India's banking industry.
