The Role Of Cyber Law In Cybersecurity In India

ABSTRACT

Rise in technology is good but it also creates opportunities for occurrence of various crimes, one of which is cybercrime. Cybercrime refers to the illegal activities conducted which involve the use of Network or Network Devices. Cybercrime are mostly conducted by the Cybercriminals for their own benefits. One can be never specified about it that who would be another victim of this crime. It is not like that they have a specific category or a particular target anyone who it under the use of Network connection can be a victim. In India we recently have a huge growth in electronic commerce due to the pandemic but is has also resulted in growth of cybercrime done in the country. During the pandemic many people have lost their job and with that many also lost their saving in just one transaction while trying to save one of their family members. Not only that, with increase in digital platform lots of children specially girls have become victim of such crime and eventually it has led to many suicides case due to the harassment they have to face on social media just because someone else have access to her device with her concern. In order to overcome this problem and many more related to it one must know basic of cyber law and kinds of crime that performed in our daily life.
