ABSTRACT

The rapid advancements in technology have brought about numerous benefits to society, but they have also given rise to new challenges, particularly in the form of cybercrime. This article aims to explore the challenges and legal implications associated with cybercrime under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). It begins with an introduction to the significance of cybercrime in the digital era. Subsequently, it delves into the relevant legal provisions of the IPC, IT Act, ICT Act and analyzes their applicability to cybercrime. Additionally, the article examines the cyber laws in India and their effectiveness in addressing the evolving nature of cyber offenses. Through this comprehensive exploration, the article sheds light on the complexities surrounding cybercrime and emphasizes the need for robust legal measures to combat this growing menace.
