ABSTRACT
Exploring the intersection of law and societal challenges, ‘The Intertwined Threads: Law, Youth Rights, and Restorative Future in India’ investigates the complex relationship between youth unemployment, social unrest, and legal frameworks in India. India grapples with alarming levels of youth unemployment, fuelling socio-economic turmoil and civil disquiet. Despite robust legal frameworks ostensibly safeguarding youth rights and socio- economic security, endemic implementation gaps undermine their efficacy.

Deficient enforcement of labor regulations emerges as a critical impediment to decent work access and rights protections for young workers. The study spotlights systemic inadequacies like anemic institutional capacity, convoluted regulatory environments, and corruption that stymie the translation of legal guarantees into tangible change. To address this chasm, the research advocates sweeping legal reforms hinging on bolstering enforcement agencies, rationalizing labor codes, and integrating transparency and accountability mechanisms. Salient policy prescriptions encompass fortifying worker protections, catalyzing skill-building and job creation, enhancing access to justice, nurturing entrepreneurship ecosystems, prioritizing human capital investments, and mainstreaming sustainable development principles. With multidisciplinary insights for scholars, policymakers, and legal professionals, this study illuminate’s pathways to unleash India's immense youth potential. Its holistic solutions chart a course towards mitigating disruptive social tensions, realizing economic dividends, and fostering an equitable future upheld by the empowered young citizenry - the bedrock of national progress.
