ABSTRACT


Corruption, a persistent societal ill, permeates various aspects of human interaction, exerting profound and often devastating effects on economies, social structures, and political institutions. This research paper delves into the multifaceted impact of corruption on society, examining its economic, social, and political consequences. Through a comprehensive analysis of case studies and examples, the paper sheds light on the real-world implications of corrupt practices in different societies and sectors. Drawing on the global context, the research evaluates existing legal frameworks and international conventions designed to combat corruption, dissecting their effectiveness and highlighting challenges in implementation. A meticulous examination of national legal responses further unravels the complexities in addressing corruption at the local level.
