The Idea Of Contempt: A Critical Study

ABSTRACT


Contempt is subject term of hindering the honor of the supreme. The idea of this term is so unambiguous at prima facie but it is not. Here, contempt is a topic of liberal and wide interpretation and when it comes to the contempt of court, it is way more technical and endures. Courts are the reflection of justice and it needs to be supreme, it needs to respected. This is responsibility as well as obligation to each of us living in a civilization to gracefully handle this honor and here this concept of contempt of court comes in picture. Misbehave, misconduct, presenting a bad picture of court or its decisions, or projecting the honor of the courts in disgraceful frame, these all let people loss their faith and confidence from the justice and here lays the crisis. The prime object of the research paper at hand is to focus and highlight the recent cases nationwide of contempt of court which garbed media headlines and public attention. Then, we will precede further with the most specific question of everyone’s interest that how our justice administrations managing the freedom of speech and expression with the contempt of court cases. Secondly, in this paper at hand, our main concern is of the clash rising out of discussion concerning of prevailing the truth out of extreme heights of honor.
