Gaddam Sahithya, Mahindra University

ABSTRACT

This study aims to investigate how family ties are impacted by divorce and separation. This study will examine the fundamental issues surrounding divorce, including lifestyles following family splits, various psychological disorders, marital expectations and motivations, causes of divorce, the effects of splits on parents, children, and the entire family, the effects of splits on careers, the long-term effects of divorce, and more.

Divorce and separation may have a profound influence on family connections. Following the end of a marriage or partnership, there may be feelings of grief, fury, and resentment that can lead to disputes and strained relationships within the family.

Children who suffer their parents' divorce are frequently emotionally unstable and feel powerless, furious, bewildered, sad, guilty, and self-blame. Some youngsters place the responsibility on themselves, while others may place it on a parent.

However, these problems influence them to reach the breaking point without taking into account the effects of divorce and separation on family relationships. During the separation, couples become emotionally disturbed, less considerate, intolerable, lying, and misunderstanding each other, which turn them mentally separated and physically unattractive. The purpose of this study was to examine how family bonds are affected by divorce and separation.
