Aaditya Madhumeeth, BA-LLB, Bennett University

ABSTRACT

As its name suggests, ‘Uber’ is expanding in great speed worldwide with its founding principle of connecting people in cities with car rides. “I’ll book an uber”, or “I ubered” are the frequent terms people use while travelling through cabs these days. With a unique model of approaching people with business, the US based company influences the world, basically the global south. The app allows passenger to avail rides and drivers to get paid and charge fares.

In the present scenario, Uber widely approaches the population with a shared economy and delivery services. Yet, there are overlapping strategical clutches that uber poses, as the part and parcel of regulating drivers worldwide.
