Sports Law: History, Related Laws And Governing Body

Animesh Nagvanshi, ICFAI University, Dehradun

ABSTRACT

In India, policy leaders have never considered sports to be a major concern. In the Indian social realm, sports have mostly been highlighted as a form of amusement. Even the average Indian has historically viewed sports with a casual and passionate attitude rather than a reasoned one. To put it another way, in Indian socio-political-legal discourse, sports and associated concerns have traditionally taken a back seat. The fact that India hasn't been performing well in the world of sports, save for a handful, is widely recognized. Due to this society's attitude toward sports, India hasn't performed as well as other nations in the world and other nations are struggling in the same way as India. Inadequate performance is caused by a variety of factors, including India's sports governance system's problems and organizational structure. In this study, the researchers assess the state of Indian sports legislation at the present time and offer a road map for the future of sports administration.
