ABSTRACT
India's legal system is fundamentally made up of social security legislation, it aims to protect and enhance the wellbeing of all inhabitants of the country. These laws cover a variety of acts, rules, and welfare initiatives aimed at giving different population groups access to social security, healthcare benefits, and financial stability. This article examines India's most important social security legislation, their significance, and how they affect social welfare. It explores laws like the Employees' Provident Fund Act, the Employees' State Insurance Act, the Maternity Benefit Act, the Employees' Compensation Act, the National Pension System, the Unorganized Workers' Social Security Act, the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, the Employee State Insurance Corporation Scheme, and the Gratuity Act. This article emphasizes the significance of social security in India and its role in guaranteeing the wellbeing and protection of persons in society by analyzing these laws, their goals, and the advantages they provide.
