Sayani Chakraborty, Faculty of Law, S K.Achariya Institute of Law

ABSTRACT

It is vital to retreat within oneself because of the power and anxiety that life possesses, which serves as the protector of civilization. Privacy and solitude have become extremely essential to man as a result of the impact of cultural standards, which have led to the development of a more empathic relationship between man and society. However, contemporary commerce and motivation have entered his private zone, leading him to struggle and experience mental pain. The extent of his suffering is comparable to that which may be caused by a simple physical injury. It has been said by the Supreme Court of India that the right to privacy is “a crucial detail of lifestyles and freedom.” The right to privacy has been elevated to the status of a basic right in India as a result of recent regulatory changes.
