Should Prisoners Be Entitled To Right To Vote?

ABSTRACT


This Article talks about how the prisoners unlike the other citizens are not provided with the same rights specially right to vote. If this is a situation only in India or if there are any other countries following the same. If there are any countries that provide for right to vote for its prisoners, is it restricted to certain conditions? The reasons behind why a prisoner should be provided with right to vote and reasons as to why he should not be provided with right to vote are discussed briefly. The suggestions as to how such an act can be implemented with proper care and increase in the police forces and security is also mentioned.
