Children are mistreated and exploited in great numbers all around the world. Children have a unique status acknowledged by the Indian constitution. In India, the laws serve as a guardian for children's safety. From a demand to a rights-based and advancement approach, legal rules and policies for safeguarding children have evolved. However, only a small percentage of children benefited from these legal provisions and safeguards. A sizable portion of society's youngsters is still battling to live a healthy existence. In India, millions of youngsters have difficulties in surviving.

Human rights are granted to children at the time of their birth. They also have a home and a society, from which they can draw strength.

The primary relationship between a kid and his or her parent is one of trust, faith, and affection; nevertheless, owing to the aforementioned events, the child becomes estranged from his or her parents. Because of the distrust between parents and children, children begin to hide information or even other life events from their families, which has an impact on the child's future. The youngsters develop the practice of withholding information from their parents, and as a result, they become alienated and ignored. The focus of the thesis is on child maltreatment and juvenile criminality. The researcher will explain the link between child sex crimes and antisocial behaviour in youngsters. The youngsters are quite vulnerable, both physically and emotionally.
