Section 166 Of The Motor Vehicle Act: Unlocking Fair Compensation For Accident Victims

Mukul Khandelwal, B.B.A. LL.B., UPES, Dehradun

ABSTRACT

Accidents are unfortunate incidents that occur unexpectedly, bringing about unintended consequences. They disrupt the natural flow of events and often result in harm, damage, or loss. Whether on the roads or even at workplaces, accidents can happen anywhere and to anyone. They remind us of the fragility of life and the unpredictability of our surroundings. While some accidents may be attributed to human error, others are simply a result of chance or circumstances beyond our control. Regardless of the cause, accidents serve as reminders to prioritize safety, remain vigilant, and take necessary precautions to minimize their occurrence and mitigate their impact. They can happen with no fault of yours. So, is there any remedy available to the citizens who are bearing losses because of the fault of another person?
