Role Of Mahavir Tyagi In The Making Of Indian Constitution

ABSTRACT


This study looks at Mahavir Tyagi’s significant contribution to the Indian Constitution and his enduring impact on the nation’s democratic ideals. During the Constituent Assembly debates, Tyagi’s support of social justice and the rights of marginalized groups demonstrates his dedication to transparency and democracy. Even though he was occasionally overshadowed by more well-known individuals, Tyagi’s contributions – such as his opinions on the judiciary and his criticism of laws pertaining to preventive detention - show his dedication to advancing justice and equity within India’s legal system. His political beliefs, participation in Indian independence movement, and legislative achievements are discussed in the paper, which positions him as a key figure in the formation of modern Indian governance. The continuing pursuit towards equity and justice in India.
