Shahnoor Ali, BA LLB, K.C. Law College, Jammu

ABSTRACT

The legal profession is a noble profession and the same should be treated with the highest standard. This profession is regulated by Advocates Act, 1961. In this paper I have tried to put forward the roles of an advocate as an officer of the Court. This study tries to explore the roles of an Indian advocate in the legal system. And by this paper I would also like to make an attempt to bring out some of the latent defects in the present advocacy.
