Rise Of Legal Terrorism: Gender Justice

ABSTRACT


The article is focused on studying the various provisions relating to dowry and sanctions behind it. The aim of the article is to analyze the practical ground reality of various dowry and dowry death prevention penal provisions. In order to delve deep into the taken arena of study researcher has tried to analyze the other facet of the coin which is popularly known as legal terrorism. The society is struggling between two halves where on one hand, in such a patriarchal society women need to be protected but simultaneously these preventive measures are being misused at large. The author finally carved out few remedies for innocent men to defend themselves in cases pertaining to legal terrorism. The technique applied for the study is doctrinal approach. The precise result that follows is that, in a country like India where societal dynamics are very obvious there is a need to find the middle way so that laws may be executed in a positive way to achieve the desired just results and to give a definite try to prevent the misuse of legal provisions.
