ABSTRACT

The intersection of the right to privacy and artificial intelligence represents a critical juncture in modern ethical, legal, and social discourse. As AI technologies continue to advance at a rapid pace, concerns about the unauthorized collection, analysis, and utilization of personal data have become more pronounced. From facial recognition software to predictive algorithms, individuals are increasingly vulnerable to surreptitious surveillance and profiling without their consent or knowledge. In response, policymakers and regulatory bodies are grappling with how best to balance the potential benefits of AI innovation with the protection of individual privacy rights. Striking this delicate equilibrium requires robust legislation, transparent practices, and ongoing monitoring to ensure that AI systems operate ethically and responsibly within legal boundaries while upholding fundamental human rights. Failure to adequately address these issues could undermine public trust in AI technologies and erode the foundation of a democratic society built on respect for personal autonomy and dignity. This short article discusses the repercussions of invention of Artificial Intelligence on Right to Privacy of people in India.
