ABSTRACT

This long-article aims to provide an overview of Indian data privacy and data protection legislation, which is a relatively new topic to address, with a focus on privacy challenges and procedures of the famous instant messaging service WhatsApp and how they relate to India's current legal environment along with the judicial developments in the area of digital privacy and also provides suggestions to deal with such complexities.
