Prantik Malla Bujarbaruah, IILM University, Gurugram

ABSTRACT

In today's society, the right to privacy about social media has taken on greater importance. To examine the difficulties and implications that emerge in this digital environment, this research study investigates the complex relationship between social media platforms and the right to privacy. The study looks at how social media has changed and how it has affected privacy norms, highlighting the conflict between users' needs for self-expression and the loss of private information. It highlights the need for better protection of people's personal information by examining the legal frameworks and rules governing privacy rights in the context of social media. As people share a lot of personal information online in the digital era, the right to privacy and social media have grown increasingly entwined.
