ABSTRACT

The laws governing abortion in Tanzania and the US have a significant impact on women's reproductive health and rights. Tanzania forbids abortions unless they are necessary to save the woman's life, which has fostered dangerous and illegal practises. The United States has a variety of abortion regulations, and some states have imposed restrictions that make it challenging for women to have safe, legal abortions. Politicians and activists are advised to change Tanzania's abortion laws, provide substantial sexual and reproductive health education, and lessen the stigma attached to abortion. Removing some of the prohibitions on abortion, expanding access to reproductive healthcare services, and lessening the stigma attached to abortion. Removing some of the prohibitions on abortion, expanding access to reproductive healthcare services, and lessening the stigma attached to abortion are some ideas for the United States. Therefore, the researcher's goal in this research paper is to compare the abortion laws in Tanzania's mainland and the US. To do this, the researcher will present the state of the abortion laws in each nation, examine recent amendments to the right to life, and then work to identify any resemblances or distinctions between the abortion laws in these two nations. and, the researcher will highlight the findings and recommendations.
