In this research, we concentrate on various rape incidents, the measures taken by the government and the hope of public on government in controlling rape in future. The hope of the public will reveal the government’s efficiency in protecting its public. The research is conducted with the help of an online survey from 200 diversified respondents. The independent variables used are age and gender. The dependent variables are sex education support, sufficiency of IPC provision in relation to rape and hope on controlling rape in future. Pie charts, bar graphs are used to represent the statistics pictorially. Descriptives and correlation are used to analyse the collected statistical data. From the collected data it is found that sex education will help in controlling rape, the public are not satisfied with the provisions rape in IPC and do not have hope in government in controlling rape in future. This in turn depicts the inefficiency of government in protecting its citizens. Suggestions like including sex education as a part of curriculum, stricter rape provisions, increased security with help of cameras and police are shared through this research.
