ABSTRACT:
This paper explores the interplay between cybersecurity and intellectual property rights in India's fast-paced digital landscape, in which the protection of innovation and securing data is very important. It covers important components of IPR- patents, trademarks, copyrights, discussing how these rights are enforced to protect the intellectual assets. Then, the paper delves into India's cybersecurity framework by examining data protection laws like the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, which deals with the use and privacy of digital information. It then identifies challenges in IPR enforcement, including special emphasis on cross-border issues, digital piracy, and impossibility of tracing anonymous infringers. This includes the implications of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and blockchain, and opportunities as well as risks that each of them pose for IPR and cybersecurity. Conclusion This paper underlines the necessity of international cooperation with harmonized legal frameworks and the potential need for global collaboration in creating a security environment to foster innovation. Therefore, by hitting a balance between legal enforcement and technological advancements, India can improve its position both in regard to digital innovation and security.
