ABSTRACT
In the annals of history, the copyright law is recognized as a technological inheritance. Accordingly, it seems to be undergone a series of systematic modifications to ensure the interest of the public in originality, innovation, and inventiveness. On one hand, it aims to give authors and creators of varied copyright works with suitable incentives, while on the other side, to make these works available to the general public. In order to ensure that the creators of these works are rewarded, copyright law had to find a middle ground. As the Internet has become a unique and altogether new route for international human communication, copyright protection has become a key worry for attorneys and other stakeholders. The Internet and peer-to-peer (P2P) computer networks have made it feasible for a rising number of individuals to participate in collaborative information generation. The Internet allows for near-instantaneous, high-quality reproductions of copyrighted works, as well as worldwide, lightning-fast distribution. The Internet has emerged as "the world's biggest copy machine" because of the above-mentioned attributes. The digital dilemma's complexity and contradictions stem from the conflict between "content has to be autonomous" and the desire for greater private ownership of information in the digital environment. As a result of the foregoing, this paper will investigate and critically evaluate new challenges relating to digital copyright protection.
