ABSTRACT


This research paper delves into the topic of privatizing social security benefits and the political tradeoffs that come with it. Social security programs aim to provide income protection and poverty alleviation to individuals and families in diverse life stages. The paper explores the various funding mechanisms, benefits, and challenges of social security systems. Additionally, the paper provides an overview of privatization and its methods, highlighting the potential benefits and concerns surrounding privatization. The research paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of social security in promoting societal well-being and encouraging policymakers to consider the political tradeoffs before deciding on privatizing social security benefits.
