Abstract


Our nation is known for its democracy and its wealthy way of life however it's far very unhappy that developing country just like India has no codified and precise legislation for the rights of the prisoners. Although, this reality cannot be rejected that our Honorable Judiciary has not neglected the prisoners and diagnosed various rights for them thru their judgments and interpretations: furthermore, the

rights associated with prisoners skilled a drastic exchange during the past decades as an improved consciousness approximately the determined want of jail reform dawned at the humans.


The prisoner is an individual who's a restraint to experience his liberty and capture under the prison or detention as a punishment of crime. Being a convict or being beneath trial does now not reject the want for human rights and the survivals and protection of existence.


The paper explains approximately current Constitutional and prison framework in India to protect the Prisoner’s rights and also elucidates the diverse government and judicial hints issued on occasion with respect to wishes and care of prisoners.
