Polluter Pay Principle An International Law And National Deterrent Law For Polluters

ABSTRACT


Environment is the combination of physical, chemical and biotic factors that acts upon any organism or ecological community and determines its form. In simple words environment consists of each and every element that we are surrounded with and survival of any living substance is totally dependent upon the condition of their environment. With the passage of time, we have come up with several technological advancements which to some way or the other have affected our environment. With the advent of industrial revolution, our agriculture based society has shifted itself to a manufacture based economy and machine power took over human power. Since then, till now we can see how industrial and economic development and nature are having conflict with which other though they are both important factors when it comes to overall development of a country. This article mainly focuses upon the significance of polluter pays principle from an international law and nation deterrent law perspective.
