Period Leave: Reducing Women’s Pain

ABSTRACT

Though, under this article, we will try to understand the importance and necessity of menstrual leave in various organizations, apart from examining its current legal status in India and other countries and their jurisdictions. The paper attempts to analyse the introduction of menstrual leave in the context of “environmental, social and corporate governance” initiatives, etc. In addition, various organizations and industry practices developed in India regarding the implementation of policies vis-à-vis menstrual leave and its associated benefits are also examined.
