Online Financial Fraud And Its Legal Provision

ABSTRACT


Cybercrimes are a new class of crimes not only in India but also in whole real world due to growth of internet users. Dishonestly using of internet lead to cause of cybercrime in virtual world. From doing online shopping to watching movie online and using of excess internet usage cause of cybercrimes. Government creates awareness to let people aware from the online financial fraud and educate users not to give their one-time passcode to any unauthorized person / authority and not to click on any unauthorized link. Nevertheless, if any online financial fraud happens then there is a punishment in the law. For this types of crime in virtual world there is the provision under specific law that is “cyber law” or “Information Technology Act,2000” and also different amendment in Indian Penal code,1860. We need to aware and secure general public of our country. This paper is providing the brief of online financial fraud and its related provisions under Indian legal system.
