ABSTRACT

This project aims at explaining the Legal Latin term Novus Actus Interveniens which is translated to a ‘new intervening act’. It is a critical concept in the field of law which determines the liability of the individual. It delves into the idea that external factors or other events have the probability of disrupting or breaking the chain of events. Through a comprehensive study of cases, doctrines, this paper sheds light on the complexities and nuances surrounding. The findings of this research contributes to a better comprehension of this topic and its significance in the legal framework enhancing the understanding of the concept and its impact on legal proceedings as well as judgements, it explores its applications and importance in law, offering a basic understanding of how external factors can change legal situations.
