ABSTRACT
The present paper commences by offering an overview of the international legal framework, examining the key provisions embedded in relevant international instruments governing the trajectory of migrant rights across the world. It then transitions to the Indian legal landscape, by making a meticulous probe into the legal realities in India. In particular, itscrutinises the extent to which international norms influence and shape India’s adoption and adherence to migration laws. The article thus endeavours to cultivate a nuanced and contemporary understanding of migrant labour under international law and its tangible implications in the Indian scenario.
