ABSTRACT

Love, an intimate and personal aspect of life, has unfortunately become entangled with violence, resulting in tragic consequences. In the context of India, a nation known for its rich tapestry of cultures and traditions, there has been a disconcerting rise in murder offenses within the realm of love relationships. This article delves into comprehensive case studies, and societal insights, the study seeks to shed light on the underlying factors contributing to this concerning trend. By examining various dimensions such as social norms, cultural dynamics, legal frameworks, and psychological aspects, the article aims to provide a holistic understanding of the complex factors fuelling these crimes. Through this examination, the article underscores the urgent need for societal reforms, legal interventions, and awareness campaigns to curb the prevalence of murder offenses and foster healthier and safer love relationships in India. In conclusion, this article provides a comprehensive analysis of the escalating murder offenses in love relationships within the Indian context. It calls for a multi-faceted approach, encompassing legal, social, and educational interventions, to tackle this pervasive issue and create a society that fosters healthy, respectful, and violence-free relationships.
