Kamshad Mohsin, Maharishi University of Information Technology

Introduction

Artificial Intelligence! An emerging concept. The importance of the concept and development falls in when it is realised that Artificial Intelligence is worth studying concept, when we will be able to decide what Artificial Intelligence exactly is!

Direct relationship between ‘Humans and Artificial Intelligence’ can be established by the facts that the humans call themselves to be Homo sapiens i.e. “Man the wise”.1 This was derived after a struggle of years, when humans tried to understand the question of ‘How do Humans Think?’ This has to be consonance to the concept of Artificial Intelligence which is an extension of such question by Homo sapiens. AI in extension to the above question over thinking deals with the concept of ‘building of intelligent entities.’

Efforts over AI has been a new field in the scientific, technological and engineering fraternity, one which is considered to be universal in nature. The name ‘Artificial Intelligence’ was coined in the year of 1956, after World War II.
