Judicial Action On Police Inaction – A Short Study

ABSTRACT
The role of police in Indian Criminal Justice System (CJS) is similar to the key joints of a machine without which no proper output can be attained. The chain of procedure for administration of CJS is dependent significantly upon the productive role of police personnel in their different roles, if even a single loop is broken the consequence of procedure established by law and the course of justice cannot be properly attained well in time in case policing fails. The courts have time and again set course correction to tackle police inaction. This paper analyses some major events in regard to the above domain of study.
