ABSTRACT

Indigenous Peoples have inherited and continue to practise unique traditions and ways of interacting with others and the environment. Indigenous land rights are a focal point of worldwide relevance in the complicated terrain where economic interests, cultural preservation, and environmental sustainability converge. This paper focuses on the economic implications of Indigenous Land Rights and the natural resource industry. It also focuses on international treaties and agreements concerning Indigenous people. The project will also look at how resource extraction affects the social structures and cultural legacies of indigenous groups. Resource exploitation may influence the social structure and cultural heritage of Indigenous communities. It may either assist in conserving habits and knowledge or threaten their survival. Using case studies and research, it demonstrates the varied character of these rights and their essential position in the modern global debate. Indigenous land rights and resource extraction are global concerns with significant global implications.
