ABSTRACT
Informal workers in Delhi who often work in outdoor or semi-open environments are uniquely vulnerable to the adverse effects of air pollution. This research paper examines the impact of deteriorating air quality on the health and productivity of informal workers in Delhi, focusing on respiratory illnesses, cardiovascular complications, and occupational challenges that directly affect their overall life and family dynamics. This paper also examines constitutional rights concerning to air pollution in India and the various Supreme Court judgments. A case study is drawn to explain the interplay of air pollution and productivity. The study also explores mitigation strategies and policy recommendations to improve their working conditions and overall health outcomes.
