ABSTRACT


“Labor breathes life into the veins of society, and the law stands as the sentinel, protecting the dignity and rights of every individual who contributes to the rhythmic pulse of progress”


Labour laws in India law is a vast area in the field of law and the Labor Jurisprudence has always had different literature and has had various angles in its research. Any prosperous country cannot sustain it if it was not for its labor force. Labour legislation has been in this country from its colonial past, including the master-slave relationship where the law was made only for the colonial capitalist to exploit on their native worker for maximizing the profit, the idea has been completely reformed and there has been gradual shift to employer and employee where there should be contribution from both the capitalist and the labor. This has been shaped through various laws, social actors and the demand from the labor population, and it has also strengthened the structure of the labor force. The tremendous push in the Globalized Sphere from the French revolution, the industrial revolution, world wars etc. on the ideas of proper regulation has its impact on the labor legislation. This legislation has been a long way in its making. This paper attempts to analyze the foundation of labor legislation from different parts of the world and the development of labor jurisprudence in this country. This paper also includes the significance of such labor legislation in such social circumstance and the history of labor legislation and implication of labor jurisprudence in shaping the laws of labor in this country & how it has been reflected in the formation of the new laws.
