ABSTRACT
The current study describes how ineffectual the current medication system is. Although India is the world's largest provider of generic drugs, the carelessness, negligence, and corruption have become the norm. The current paper begins by outlining the sections stated in Drugs and cosmetic Act 1940 that are now in place regarding counterfeit and substandard pharmaceuticals. It then analyses the data that has been extracted from various websites and reports in order to identify and analyze the problems that are currently plaguing the system. Based on the same, research findings have been formulated. Additionally, suggestions have been made by citing a number of publications and papers.
