Introduction


Artificial intelligence has been used more and more in the gig economy to manage and coordinate freelance workers. It need a multidisciplinary approach that takes into account legal, ethical, and technical viewpoints to fully comprehend this changing world.


Definition of Gig Workers and the Gig Economy


Gig workers, often referred to as independent contractors or freelancers, are people who operate in a variety of sectors and supply labour or services on demand, frequently via digital platforms. The gig economy, which is defined by sporadic, flexible work schedules, is changing conventional ideas about employment.


The gig economy, which provides flexibility to workers and cost-effectiveness to employers, has become a major part of the labour market. Gig workers' status as either independent contractors or employees, however, has generated ethical and legal problems. This classification affects employees' access to benefits, employment security, and legal safeguards.
