From Cold Allies To Strategic Partners: Tracing The Evolution Of India-Russia Relations In A Multipolar World

ABSTRACT


This research paper delves into the transformative trajectory in India-Russia relations, tracing of their evolution from Cold War fellowship into a strategic partnership in a context of a rapidly shifting multipolar world order. The paper seeks to critically evaluate how the Indo-Russian relationship has adapted to changing global dynamics, as well as through a detailed analysis of historical alliances. The evaluation considers defense and energy cooperation, regional and global multilateral engagements, and also recent geopolitical developments. The paper uses qualitative and analytical research to show the challenges and opportunities in this key bilateral relationship.
